Notes: Won well in Berlin and then went to the USA to win the Belmont Cup (3219m) and became the early Cup favourite. Didn’t impress in the Prix Kergorlay (3000m) in France, a tougher race than the Belmont, beating home a few to be fifth but ridden at the back and never a chance of winning. Not a great ride, and not asked for a supreme effort. Some might say he looked plain. Others might say he wasn’t asked to win to beat the handicap.

Should give plenty when here and he’s become a little bit of a forgotten horse. Fairly handicapped with 55kgs.

He won’t run before the Melbourne Cup which is a black mark. Kerrin McEvoy takes the ride on him as announced over the Caulfield Cup weekend, with original jockey Ryan Moore unable to attend the Melbourne Cup meeting.
